Dressing Gender by Sandra Cavanagh is a collection of paintings reacting to current and historical narratives, inspired by recent global events. Growing up in Argentina, Sandra experienced life in a police state, fear of uniformed authority and suspicion of government. This fundamental break of trust in the state led to an interest in a politically engaged art. Injustice, violence, gender inequality inspire the narratives she develops on paper and canvas. You can find Sandra at her website and on Instagram.
